Fees and Rebates

Before you book

Important information to consider before your first booking

Fees: Fees are set depending on the type of service, and are subject to change.

For current fees information, please email elisha@thinkingtogethertherapy.com or contact us

Private health funds: Rebates for counselling services are available from select private health insurers depending on the insurer and nominated level of extras cover. Please confirm eligibility and terms and conditions with your health insurer prior to booking.

Medicare: Medicare rebates are available upon presentation of a valid Mental Health Care Plan that has been prepared by a GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist. For a standard 50 minute session, the current rebate available from Medicare is $81.90. Please note that out of pocket fees will apply to all services eligible for a Medicare rebate.

NDIS: NDIS referrals are accepted for plan-managed and self-managed clients.

Self referral: If you wish to self refer for psychotherapy or counselling services, a GP referral is not required, but Medicare rebates will not be available.

Professional referral: Professional organisations and individuals can refer clients to Thinking Together for telehealth or in person counselling services

Telehealth: Although I am based in Blackburn North, I operate a telehealth practice making my services accessible Australia wide. Rebates are currently available for some telehealth consultations with Medicare and select private health insurers.

Cancellation fees: The full session fee is payable if cancellations are made within 24 hours of your appointment. To cancel a session, please contact reception directly by phone, (leave a voicemail if afterhours), or send an email to elisha@thinkingtogethertherapy.com (no SMS). Please note that cancellation fees cannot be subsidised through Medicare and all accounts must be settled prior to rebooking.
